Science, Technology, & Society: Percept of Coastal Ecosystems
These works were written by engineering students from the University of Virginia. They were inspired by the rich history of the Eastern Shore, environmental issues affecting the area, and their experiences at the Barrier Islands Center. Here, there are a collection of pieces including flash fictions, fictions that are composed of less than 750 words, personal narratives, and poems. Some of the objects described by these works are actual artifacts and exhibits at the Islands Center. Each individual’s personality shines through their work, so please enjoy!
